"A fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives would go a long way in making the world the better place we so passionately dream of."

A Bit About Me

Life periodically presents us with challenges that hinder our ability to cope and, left unaddressed, create inner conflict, and disrupt our joy. Whether you are experiencing personal or professional distress, relationship issue’s, anger management struggles, or just feeling overwhelmed by life, I can help. I have experience treating clients for post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, domestic violence, sexual trauma, family difficulties, and many more issues.

I believe each of us innately possesses the resilience needed to overcome our struggles, we sometimes need help identifying and utilizing that resilience. Therapy is that help. My focus is to help you identify and address your concerns and, using an eclectic approach, tailor treatment to achieve your individual goals so that you can live your best life. My approach is humanistic, client centered, compassionate and empathetic - in tune with my client’s needs.

I have worked over 25 years with clients using "talk therapy" to help them develop strategies to reach their full potential in life. I love what I do and believe there is no obstacle in life that we cannot overcome. I can help you discover the resilience you already possess and utilize it to strengthen your coping mechanisms so that you can genuinely enjoy life.

COVID-19

Your support during the pandemic

Has the pandemic has increased life’s struggles, and you feel the brunt of isolation? You are not alone. Many of us feel our ability to function the way we would like is decreasing. Depression, anxiety, stress, and dissatisfaction with life have increased because of pandemic related stressors. It’s important to know that you have a resource to talk your concerns through. I'm available for teletherapy sessions, via telephone or video, to address your needs.

Individual Therapy

At Resilient Life Therapeutic Services, we take an eclectic approach to psychotherapy for adults aged 21 and older. One size doesn’t fit all! Training in multiple approaches allows us to provide diverse therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, relational therapy, emotionally focused treatment, humanistic- existential psychotherapy, narrative, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy and many more. Our therapeutic versatility allows the clinician to adapt to the specific wishes, problems, and needs of each client we help.

We always treat psychotherapy as a mutual journey in which a client can communicate their needs and limits to the therapist and negotiate and adjust their treatment goals as the therapy progresses. We specialize in the interventions to mediate the full range of concerns people bring to therapy, allowing us to find a very good fit for each person seeking therapy.

Types of individual therapy we provide include, but are not limited to:

Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, Sexual Abuse Survivors, Relationship Issues, Bipolar Disorder, Grief and Loss, Anger Managemen, and Life Transitions

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a relational systems approach to reducing conflict and emotional troubles of all participants involved. It works on reducing conflict through understanding and resolving problems in communication, negotiation, defensiveness, blaming and more. It encourages emotional attachment and bonding by supporting love, openness, discussion and mutual recognition of needs and concerns.

Family therapy is sometimes recommended as a “stand alone” treatment, and sometimes as an adjunct to individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. The family therapist is a facilitator and provides support for all participants.

Resilient Life Therapeutic Services offers several skilled treatments to address presenting family needs. Therapeutic approaches include family systems, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, solution focused treatment and much more. If your family is experiencing conflict, please consult with us. We will work hard to help you work through your troubles and develop stronger relationships with more nurturing familial bonds.
